  • What devices can I load SailPro on?
    • Current Version 1.0 can load on any Android device, be it a an Android mobile or Android watch
    • Google WearOS
    • Any Apple iOS v17 capable mobile phone, this dates back to Iphone 11 but you must be riunning iOS 17
    • It wont run on Apple iWatch YET
    • It won’t run on Garmin YET
  • How do I install it?
    • Simply go to the App store of your choice, search for ‘SailPro’ and install from there.
    • IF there are any updates they will be published on the app store.
  • What Bluetooth headset device do you recommend?
    • We recommend ‘bone conductive’ headsets such as ‘Shokz’ for 2 main reasons:
      • They can be tethered to your life jacket so you wont loose them, and
      • They are not in your ears, they aren’t annoying and you can still hear what’s going on around you.
  • Can I get support?

  • I have a suggestion for a feature.
    • Awesome please email us at support@sailpro-16e6e8.ingress-earth.ewp.live.  Please note we will guarantee to review every feature request, we can’t guarantee we will add every feature request, unless you want to help fund us!!
  • Do you suggest a watch or use my mobile?
    • Its personal preference, Watch is great because its right there and in many cases you don’t need a headset.  However, if you don’t your competition may hear you countdown!!  You can take your mobile and if you’re in a  small dinghy you can put it in a water-proof case, set the 5 min start and then put the phone in a safe place.  You don’t need to see it because you can hear it!!!
  • Do I need to make any changes to my devices settings?
    • We work very hard to test the app on as many devices as possible and allow for each platforms unique approach to things like battery usage however its a challenge to cover everything so please check things below and please test it before you do your first sail!  Get to know how it works so you’re ready to act in a real race!!
    • Make sure that any ‘battery optimisation’ for SailPro is turned off!
    • Make sure your device is not blocking SailPro from running in the background.
    • Make sure you have accepted all of the permissions settings , especially location and storage permissions!!
